Jason Box - Founder / Owner
Jason is a second-generation builder who grew up in Central Texas and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005. Jason began his career in construction nearly two decades ago. He spent four years working for a new construction company, expanding his industry knowledge and skills and learning what it takes to build a successful small business, before starting Catalyst Construction in 2007. In his spare time, Jason loves to travel, spend time with his kids, and explore the outdoors: camping, hiking, kayaking, and snowboarding.
Alex Azra - Owner
Another second-generation builder, Alex grew up in Houston, Texas, with a family in construction and real estate. He graduated from Texas State University in 2016 with a clear vision and drive to break into remodeling and investing. Before joining the Catalyst team, Alex was a Residential Construction Project Manager for many years, and he also has investment experience - flipping foreclosures and residential homes. His hobbies include real estate, hiking, traveling, developing new skills, and spending time with family and friends.
Natalie Meyers - Estimator
From a family deeply rooted in real estate development, Natalie was immersed in the intricacies of the industry from an early age. This exposure ignited her passion for interior design, driving her to pursue a career where creativity and functionality intersect. Equipped with a Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma City University. Natalie was able to gain invaluable skills that complement her design approach. Her academic journey culminated in further refinement at the Institute of European Design in Milan, Italy, where she gained a global perspective and refined design sensibilities. Natalie leverages her deep understanding of design and construction to exceed client expectations and bring their envisioned spaces to fruition. Beyond her professional pursuits, Natalie enjoys traveling, immersing herself in nature, riding her horse, and cherishing moments with her loved ones.
Angie Taylor - Estimator
Angie Taylor has called Austin home since the early '90s. Originally from Houston, she moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas and decided to stay. Angie began her career in operations for several tech startups during the 2000s, enjoying the challenges of a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. For the past three years, she has worked in the construction industry, writing proposals for potential clients. Angie loves being involved in the process from start to finish and helping clients bring their remodeling ideas to life. As a construction estimator, she brings her experience and enthusiasm to our team. In her spare time, Angie enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and many animals, and cooking—she even considers herself a part-time zookeeper and makes a mean chocolate chip cookie!
Jess Jackson - Sr. Project Manager
Jess joins the Catalyst team after 8 years in administrative and hospitality roles, managing operations and customer needs. Also a Central Texas native, she moved to Austin right after her graduation from Texas Christian University in 2014. Jess grew up in a family of contractors and craftsmen, and her first paying job was doing make-readies at construction sites. She has always loved seeing a space transformed! In her free time, Jess can be found crafting, organizing, reading, learning, and sharing Austin food and outdoor activities with friends and family.
Doug Minard - Sr. Project Manager
Doug is a 30 year construction veteran, builder of over 300 homes in the Houston and West Austin area. He grew up in Iowa, graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, before moving to Texas after graduation in 1989. He began his construction career as a Superintendent trainee, working his way up to Executive status in the homebuilding industry and earning himself multiple Homebuilding awards. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, riding anything on 2 wheels, playing guitar, and creating projects around his house.
Devon Dawkins - Handyman
Devon, a native of Taylor, Texas, brings a passion for community and craftsmanship to the Catalyst team. He first made his mark through volunteering efforts, including contributing to the construction of a local skate park. Devon's journey in the construction industry began with sales of construction materials before transitioning to landscaping. Since joining our team, he has honed his skills across various trades, emerging as a skilled craftsman. Outside of work, Devon cherishes moments with his wife and friends, indulging in his diverse range of hobbies.
